The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series disc-type permanent magnet generator features an innovative iron-core-free design with both spindle and rotor assembled in a disc configuration. The stator remains fixed at the center while the rotor rotates on either side, with the spindle containing only windings without any iron core.

Both stator and rotor utilize a flat disc structure with axial air gap magnetic flux, arranged alternately along the axial direction for compact design. The generator's short axial length and large diameter make it ideal for multi-pole configurations, ensuring high power-to-mass ratio and supporting low-speed operation with low wind speed start capability.

The GDG series generators are characterized by small size, lightweight construction, compact structure, low energy consumption, and high efficiency. These features make them particularly suitable for direct-drive vertical axis wind turbines, where the rotor mounted on a vertical axis presents minimal wind resistance.

Available in two variants: outer rotor design (rotor shaft rotates with stationary casing, cable exits through shaft middle) and inner rotor type (fixed casing with rotating shaft, cable exits outside casing).
